Hi everyone!
I’m certainly not trying to clutter up your inbox, but I just had to share the crazy easy steps to making your own ornament wreath.
Its been on my DIY Christmas bucket list for years- and I will totally admit- I was afraid to tackle it! I’d heard so many Pinterest “fail” stories, I figured I would save it for later.
But alas, I felt up for the challenge. AND I did some serious research- and I believe I stumbled upon the easiest way to do it!! *My 4 year old did most of the work.*
So, without further adue, here are the directions!
Step 1: Gather your materials!
I used a wire hanger, ( white) and about 80 different sized ornaments ( & bells). All dollar store :O)

Step 2: I hot glued ALL the tops to the ornaments. This is a HUGE step, as while you would be adjusting your wreath as you go, they would tend to pop right off otherwise. I just took them out of their packages, and then threw them in a big bag after they were glued.

Step 3: Unwind the wire hanger, and create a circle shape.

Step 4: Begin to thread your ornaments. You don’t have to have a particular pattern, but I found myself sticking to 2 red, 2 green, 2 gold, etc, It helped me :O)

Step 5: Continue threading, and every once in a while- stopping to tighten, and adjust the order.

Step 6: As you come to the end, ( leave room )you will simply re-tie the wire hanger back together.

Step 7: I hung mine on the door and tied with the buffalo plaid deer ribbon. I noticed a few places that could use more little ornaments, and I simply glued a few more on.
Total time: about 30 minutes to glue tops on, about 30 minutes ( with Mattie’s help!) to string the ornaments.
In summary- I LOVE the way its so 3-D. I LOVE the way you can adjust as you go- no scary “permanent” feeling! I LOVE that it was something my children could help with. I LOVE it.
I do hope you give it a try if this is something you’ve been wanting to do.
You CAN do it!
Sending you warm DIY wishes!

OK, you have certainly challenged me – if Mattie can do it, I can do it. And I WILL try this in the next few days – or weeks. It looks so beautiful and so easy. Thank you for doing the research and for sharing your pictures and your experience. Again, another gift, and just in time for Christmas!
